Beavers

Beavers are our youngest members (aged 6 to 8), and generally meet for an hour per week.

They enjoy all that Scouting has to offer; being introduced to outdoor activities, having the opportunity to be creative, explore their local community and experience the excitement of a Beaver Scout Sleepover with their friends. Take a look at a little video of what they get up to.

The Beaver Colony is the first and youngest section of the Scout Group. Beaver Scouts are young people aged between 6 and 8 years old. There is core flexibility in the age range: young people can join from age 5¾ and can move to Cubs between age 7½ and 8½.

We have two Beaver colonies which are very popular that meet on a Tuesday and a Wednesday. They meet at Farnsfield Village Centre, New Hill, Farnsfield, Newark, Nottinghamshire. NG22 8JN.

Tuesdays (Halifax) 5.30pm-6.30pm – Beaver Scout Leader…

Wednesdays (Fern) 6:00pm-7:00pm – Beaver Scout Leader Natalie Osborne and Assistants Rebecca Singleton, Julia Rosevear, Phil Allen and Andrew Emsley

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
