To help you settle in and be part of the team we have outlined some useful information below.
What is the family rota?
The Family Rota is where your family is allocated a week from the Programme to attend and support. Any member of your family, 18 or over, can attend. It doesn’t have to be a parent as long as they are part of your family. If you can’t make the week then let us know and we’ll transfer you.
How do I find out when I am allocated?
You can see the week that is allocated by visiting the Programme in OSM. It will show a blue box on the week you are down to help and it will say “You are on the rota for helping this meeting!”. OSM will email you 24 to 48 hours before reminding you of the session.

There might be some weeks when you can do more. These will show up in yellow and you can click “I can help” to let us know.

What can I expect?
We have a safeguarding policy and there is a “yellow card” reference card at the the link provided here. Please read through the do’s and don’ts. I am sure you will understand this policy keeps our young people and adults safe.
If you are unable to do a date you have selected please notify the section leader or swap with another parent.
Younger children may accompany you on your rota evening but they remain your responsibility at all times.
If you have, any queries or concerns at all don’t hesitate to contact the section leader you are helping with, or contact the Group Scout Leader.
